Traditional wooden boat or locally known as Klotok is a popular transportation in Kalimantan. Unlike in other regions where boat is typically used for fishing, Klotok is a common transportation used by the local people to navigate the rivers in Kalimantan. Kalimantan, the world's third largest island, is well known for its rivers, “The land of thousand rivers” as people call it. Even the top three of great rivers in Indonesia are flowed in Kalimantan.


Tanjung Puting National Park is one of the remote areas in Kalimantan accessible only by river. Named as the best place to see Orangutan in the wild invites wildlife enthusiasts all over the world to visit it. Not only Orangutan and its high diversity of ecosystem that make Tanjung Puting popular but also the experience of staying on Klotok, a fun-filled way to experience the river and the park.


Our Klotoks operate for Orangutan Tour in Tanjung Puting have been developed for tourism purposes and is specially designed to provide incredible view along the river of Sekonyer as it slowly cruising down the waterway. We operate four comfortable Klotoks which various in size. Which vessel to bring you exploring the national park is depend on the number of passengers. Each vessel is designed for overnight accommodation with sleeping, dining and toilet facilities. We provide mattress, pillow and toilet for sleeping arrangement. Most of our travelers prefer to spend nights on boat to fully enjoy the nature. However, those who don’t comfortable to sleep on boat, there is an option to stay in the lodge. Rimba Eco Lodge is the only land accommodation within Tanjung Puting National Park.

•           Garuda 2 : maximum 4 passengers

•           Garuda Ratu : maximum 8-10 passengers

•           Mutiara : maximum 8 – 10 passengers

•           Garuda King : maximum 10 – 12 passengers       


Our Orangutan wildlife tours run as Private Tour, it means that all the arrangement is exclusively for you whether you travel alone, with your family or friends. If you plan to travel on July - early September, it is highly recommended to make your booking months earlier. July - August is our busiest season.
